Basically you've got three episodes with this OVA that will focus on each of the three couples of Wotakoi. I would say that the focus in the first two episodes that shifts the main POV away from the two main characters and into the side couples is very valuable, especially if you're a viewer who is going to move into the manga after watching the series. If you loved the Wotakoi characters, these episodes are going to give you everything you love about them all over again. Actually, some of the better parts of the series' tone and emotion was repeated in these episodes, too, and because they were bits of romance that had to be shown within an episode instead of over a season, I enjoyed the balance between humor and seriousness a lot more in these OVA episodes. Also, the animation improved a decent amount from the season that aired a year prior to this, so it was nice to see very polished moments between these characters that weren't always there in the series. I do think that, through the bits of relationship developments you're getting with these episodes, they do count as a sequel to the series. However, don't go into this thinking that major plot developments are going to happen because they're not. Much like the main series, the smallest of steps are taken each time something serious happens, so keep that in mind as you watch it. These episodes were a good bit of fun to watch, so give them a go if you liked the Wotakoi series.
