I dont like the main character at all, I just hate the crybaby-esque whiny characters, you know the deku or the zenitsu type characters, and yea that really turned me off, because unlike zenitsu, this motherfucker has zero badass moments in the show, and yea that really is fucking annoying to watch.
Another problem with the show is the main character probably has dementia or sumn, cuz he's confused over the most predictable shit on the planet, for example the scene where he couldn't recognize Kisaki when walking by him, even though your three year old cousin can predict that plot point.
Also the one piece/naruto type recaps before the episode starts, like dude I don't have amnesia, I know what's going on, and the recap format is just outdated in this day and age. Watching this weekly was probably the best way to watch it, cuz atleast the recap would have some purpose. Nevertheless let's talk about the good parts of the show.
The TOMAN gang backstory as well as the Valhalla fight were incredible, even though it has pretty awful pacing, but I digress,I hope kazutora has a major role in the second or third season because I want to see him improve and learn from his mistakes. Mikey and Draken are really great characters as well.
Baji as a Character is great as well, and I enjoyed watching him and his backstory, and how much he affected chifuyu and Mikey.
The story is done well, and the end left me dumbstruck, i hope season 2 delivers, cuz this shit left on a brilliant cliffhanger.
