after the "meh" that mushoku seemed to me, he is sticking his hands in the fire, he is the best isekai that has touched the world (not counting konosuba since it is a parody)
all the first chapters are pure gold the setting so discouraging and sad makes it unique, I almost cried in chapter 4 in chapter 4, although I think that since the edge character arrived I feel that the series lightened up by having the adorable factor
but it was not an impediment to enjoy it a lot although for me I lower narratively from that point
characters:
the main character of the shield: probably my second favorite character, everything that surrounds him is great his background his personality and above all his intelligence and his style and his evolution from being someone cold and without feeling to being someone who is seen to love others things that are not him, it seems to me that he is a unique protagonist for the medieval isekai and not the healer protagonist does not count (I would say more but they would already be spoilers)
the raccoon loli who is not a loli but I like the loli better: I loved this character since she debuted I loved the chemistry of the main character and she is adorable how those two interact, although I would have liked it more if they showed more of the relationship between she is small and all the more beautiful on screen since I have always been a fan of that type of relationship, and we have one of the female characters of isekai who is not a sack of cement
the bird girl: this may be the one I liked the least, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't find it adorable, it's very simple, it's a character with no motivations other than following the main character, which makes sense as it was, she's been with her all her life
In short, it is a very good series in case you want to see something serious or just turn off your brain since at most there is gore but yes, nothing at all ecchi I recommend it to everyone and I feel that together with monogatari everyone should see it
in my opinion this series goes over mushoku tensei I feel that the rhythm is better and its premise even more, and it also did something that mushoku did not, I fell in love with its story and everything that surrounds it
