Mixed Feelings
Donten ni Warau is like a snack. Does not taste bad, gives you some kind of enjoyment but does not satisfy your hunger. It is not a bad anime and it is not a waste of time but at best, I guess it is only a little above the average.

The story is pretty mediocre and since it only lasts for 12 episodes, there is not much time to build a world around this story so most of the stuff is left at the dark but I get it. Story is the most mediocre part of this anime, goes like "there are bad guys and there are good guys, fight and save the world!" so don't expect much.

Art is also mediocre but once again, I get it. Did not expect much from a low-budget anime. It's not beautiful but not bad either.

For the sound, voice actors are decent I guess and there were few tunes I liked throughout the show (some succesful tunes to reflect the era) other than that nothing caught my attention.

And for the characters, I can say they are pretty stereotyped. They are not interesting or anything but the oldest brother is more enjoyable to watch than the others.

If you have a day-off and you don't know what to do, Donten ni Warau is a good snack. It tells you its story without boring you too much and comes to an end. It is an enjoyable anime if you don't expect too much from it.
