I was excited about this one. It seemed unlike any other anime I've seen. Let me be clear: the anime is a very slow burner. There are excellent storytelling moments that truly did creep me out. However, much of the story was boring for me- just not enough action. The art style is great and adds so much depth to the story the writer is trying to tell. The musical selections are just alright. The opening song really annoys me because it gives me a lot of anxiety the way it is sung. But I suppose that was done on purpose, right? Again, this anime is a really slow burner. So why aren't the characters better developed? They seem very one or two dimensional. The hungry friend is only hungry. The creepy teacher is just a creep. Can I get some backstory? Some other personality traits? Overall the show does have it's moments. I just wish there was more to it. If you like slow burn stories then maybe this one is for you.
