I am very attached to this manga. I am sure that it goes through the many tropes and themes that a typical magical girl story would (though I'm not familiar enough with the genre to say for certain if that is the case), but the pure unapologetic emphasis it puts on the character motivations and whatever mechanics are forced upon them is charming and fun, something that usually gets thrown away or made the point of ridicule. This is just how the world's story is built up and it's nice to have a plot that is centered around it being okay for boys to be girly despite what preconceptions they have about what they should or shouldn't look/act like. I wish that the translation wasn't dropped at the end of the 4th volume, but I'm happy it got as far as it did.
