Afterwards the story starts, and it's a pretty nice story featuring time travel. Not a proper time travel story like Steins;Gate which takes its time to explain the mechanics of the device rather than simply using it to advance the plot. You get to see the cast 5 years later if that's what you're into. Personally, never really enjoyed epilogues but in this situation it was tolerable. Mainly because the movie did a great job at not being canon.
All in all, this movie is meaningless while still being good. And I guess that's what makes it better than the main series, the fact you don't have ti be on edge waiting for the next great arc while lazing through the filler. Worth watching even if you've only watched enough episodes to know the characters.
