Mixed Feelings
Story:
The first two or three episodes were actually very interesting because they essentially introduced me to the fantasy world in which the story takes place. I was eager to find out more about the world, hoping that the characters would eventually explore the world and find out more about it. Sadly, even after watching the last episode, most questions are still unanswered and you are left with a lot of vague symbolism. Apart from occasional hints of adventure or mystery, the entire series consisted mostly of mundane slice of life situations that were rather boring to watch.

Art:
While the quality wasn't the best (which is understandable for an older series like this one), I liked how the animation managed to create a dream-like atmosphere and the characters were drawn rather realistically (ignoring the additional non-human features obviously) which is a plus for me personally.

Sound:
The sound was appropriate for a quiet series like this and I especially liked the opening.

Characters:
The characters and their interactions with each other were rather bland. While I could sympathize with the main character, I would have preferred someone who doesn't fall every time they run. I almost never felt like any of the characters had a purpose for living. Many people in the real world have interests, goals and dreams, but the characters in this series were mostly just living for the sake of existing (that was my impression at least).

Enjoyment:
While I do enjoy some slow-paced shows, I do not enjoy shows that never pick up pace in the first place.

Overall:
If you like to watch shows that rely heavily on symbolism and open interpretation, or if you simply want to watch "something different", then this show might be something for you.
