The harem element is there, and you cannot ignore it, like the ecchi. The truth is your going to see some nudity, and people getting in the bath together, that makes you wonder would really, but is not a regular OTT fan service fantasia for people. The story takes up most of it, with the harem element more as he goes along, being a decent dependable guy, catches some girl's eyes, and the stories center around them. I was also slightly surprised with who the MC ended up with.
The story is simply high school romance, boys come to a girls school, instantly clash, as the new school doesn't understand how things work and is female elements who do not want boys at the school as has been an elite girls school and is dropping down by letting the riff-raff in as well as boys. I expected more class snobbery, The story is strong in how teen love, especially for girls who haven't been around boys, can develop and it takes its time enough to show the MC doesn't just doesn't want to sleep with everyone a'la School Days.
I liked the build-up and could see some characters were interested but wouldn't react, or reacted the wrong way to form a relationship. It also showed how when relationships are formed people always get hurt, as well as people will try and support the relationship, even if is hard for them.
The story was good, the art and sound great, and as much as they could have done more character development and interaction, I think it worked well compared to most harems. I actually really enjoyed this anime, as a pleasant surprise as was waiting for who would he pick if anyone, until the later episodes. I honestly think is a worthwhile watch for anyone
