Preliminary (7/11 eps)
Well, after hearing so many good things about this new series, I decided to opt in and watch it! Oddly, after starting yesterday, I'm already up to episode eight. ^_^

Of course, the title did confuse me a bit, and it still kind of does. "Usagi Drop? So, Rabbit Drop, then? Wonder what this is about..."

Story: Now, the first episode is what hooked me--an illegitimate six year old child of a now deceased seventy-nine year old man left without a mother and a home? And then there's the main character Daikichi, a single businessman who decides to take in this child to keep her from being left behind again. After reaching episode eight and discovering certain secrets behind little Rin's past, I must admit, the story is quite captivating! I give the story a nine, and can't wait to see how this story will continue to unfold!

Art: ...The art could be a bit better character-wise, BUT... ^_^ They did give us adorable children characters like Rin and Kouki. However, the scenary is well drawn-out and it's different. I'd give the art a seven.

Sound: The voice acting is well done. Voice actors like Kana Ueda, who voiced Haruko, Daikichi's cousin, and Hiroshi Tsuchida who voiced Daikichi were among some of these seiyuus. I was completely surprised to find that Rin's voice actress, Ayu Matsuura is only ten years old voicing a six year old character, which made the work all the more believable! I give the sound a ten!

Character: I'm quite satisfied with Daikichi's character development as well as Rin's back-story as she grows and matures while living with Daikichi. This story is allowing them to both grow together and to become more... open with one another.

Enjoyment: I was quite hooked from the start, and each episode tended to make me go "AWWW" because of the multiple cute-fest moments, as well as watching Rin grow attached... ^_^ And in addition, the story is much better than I had anticipated. I give the enjoyment a nine.

Overall: I rate this a nine, for now until the story unfolds more. If you enjoy stories of "finding a place in the world" or even just interesting tales and secrets, then Usagi Drop is the show for you!
