Of course not. And that is why this is not for everyone. But look, be grateful that there are still critics like me that judge a book by its content. You will be missing any fantastic and out of the world tropes in this anime. You will be getting a new refreshing story about a particular student with a particular life and a particular family. You will be watching a normal nothing out of context story that has something to do with students in art school. What there's for you is the drama. Imagine a group of students in the final year with family issues, money issues, purpose issues, and the sort of things that will commonly trouble the minds of most people during that period of life. The difference here is, we are talking about art school, and the story is told by the MC point of view. So, expect new things to learn and to discover with this refreshing story.
Now for my grade: actually 8/10 is pretty generous. But that's enough since it can be arguably overusing the need to do insights scenes and there's nothing sloppy here, be it the animation, the story or the art. Is good quality stuff above average not for everyone tastes.
