It's stunning, the soundtrack is just as good as the series, and picks up themes from it as well.
The story acts as a short/long term epilogue, as we get to watch many characters come back in short camios. I was super happy everytime a character came back on screen, and glad to see how they were doing.
Did this movie bring something new to the franchise, not really. But its very heartwarming, and feels as genuine as the series. Same recipe, but also tying off dead ends. The aesthetic is still just as tasty :)
The narrative storyline with 3 stories is pretty cool. Both stories are clearly used as plot devices for Violet and the Major, but I think it works.
Overall I cried so much, I was really happy to watch it. Listening to the soundtrack makes me cry again, even though I'd gotten over that phase. This remains my favourite franchise so far.
If you have 2 and a half to kill, and/or need to cry to destress from exam period or just life, go for it!
You'll enjoy much more if you've watched the original series though!
