What a series! I have been putting this off for a while and then i binged it today and man, it's brilliant! Don't make my mistake, watch it! It's a mystery/thriller action packed 1930's show. It has everything, even alchemy! So, lets start. The story is an easy 10, filled with mystery while at the same time giving you answers to your questions, you just don't notice them till later. Amazingly thought out, perfectly directed, it likes to jump in time alot (1929, 1930, 1931, 1932 etc.) but after a few episodes thing will start to make sense. The art is pretty good, I love the character designs, the animation is also pretty smooth if you care about that. Overall a 9 perfectly fits it. The sound is a little mixed, the opening is AWESOME, as well as the DUB, the background music is pretty good and the rest is okay-ish. Now characters, my favorite part of this series, just WOW! This series has the best characters I've ever seen in a single piece of media. There are so many of them, and yet, I love them all. You have the funny couple, the crazy psycho murderer, the rich mafia guys, the badass mafia guys, the cute girls (lol) etc. Incredible overall! Now for the enjoyment, me being the huge mystery/thriller fan I am this was perfect for me, and of course the characters just made that enjoyment double, easy 10. Overall this is in my top 3 favorite anime ever and it's just amazing! Please do check it out, atleast the first 2-3 episodes.
