Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (71/? chp)
[Spoilers later in the review] (Will mark where spoilers begin)
Dead Tube is the manga that you hear about in high school from a friend because its super fucked up and it will traumatize you. The best analogy for this series is that it's the manga iteration of the darkweb site "Run the Gauntlet". For those that don't know run the gauntlet is a website found on the dark web where you watch increasing distrubing videos ranging from breaking bones to child dying and suicide tapes. To be honest only certain types of people can watch read this manga and those are people that have alreaady lost their innocence and know that this world isn't aas safe and pretty as we think it is. For those that can get very emotional from disturbing imagary or are very sensitive when it comes to the suffering of others. Please don't read this it isn't worth really reading in the long run for the content that it shows.

Now regarding the manga itself I say that its pretty average the art style is very chaotic and gritty almost sraatchy to match the aestethic and themes of the manga, but the clarity in some panels can be lost from time to time. The characters aren't anything special, but the writing does a good enough job of keeping the audience follow the main cast while also rooting for them to keep pushing forward. To make clear though none of the characters aare good people. Not by a long shot every single person featured in this manga that takes a active role in the manga reaps what they sow despite the atrocities commited. Regardless though you still get a shitty feeling afterwards where all you think about is this sense of turmoil sitting in your stomach.

For me I hate content like this, anything involving rape, murder, deciet, NTR, etc really messes with my head and fucks up my mental, but at the same time though I think it's important for some one who is not comfortable with this to give a objective take on the series regardless of person morales and feelings regarding what is happening in the manga.

Lastly the story does a good job of sticking to the survival, horror/thriller. It has elements found in other manga like Btooom!, Deaadman Wonderland, Liar Game, and Doubt. Overall up to chapter 55/56 the story in my opinion did a good job of keeping the audiences attention while also not relying to heavily on plot twist to get the story to progress. Us as the aaudience could usually tell wehat was happening and the general flow of the plot. There were times that caught me off gaurd when I thought the plot was going in another direction. After 56 though it goes down hill (Spoilers for Dead Tube after this Point!!!!!!!!!)

After chapter 55/56 the story switches away from the MC of the story to a new incoming freshman girl who is in love with the kid that we saw in the school helping out Hanae Hiwa. Basically Chapter 55/56 ends with the MC killing his own father who was the Co-Founder/Creator of Dead Tube and that the MC's entire life was all set up for the fathers Magnum Oppus video. So every event in the store between 1-55 was orchestrated by the MC's father behind the scene. Now though after the father is dead the manga introduces Dead Tube Neo to take it's place and it's now centered around this new girl who has gotten herself involved. The writing after 56 is pretty weak with most of the plot being very poor and linear, its mostly just rehashings of oldplot lines.

Overall I gave it a 6/10 for most of its run it offers for those who want it very grotesque, abhorant, and obscene displays of the worst aspects of the human race all for the sake of the entertainment of others. Honestly though I hope that no one ever reads this series cause it's just a mashup of all the worst traits a person can have wrap into a nice little manga series.

I hope this review was even a little bit helpful.
