A very nice romance to read. And I say this not being a fan of the genre.
Emma can be described as a period romancel that turned into a manga. By the way, I think this was what won me the most, the way the author uses the historical elements: exploring the environment (such as the crystal palace), the context of the time (social relationships and tensions), or just the day-to-day of the character. Incluind, the characters in general are very well written. The author's skill for interesting and very easy to empathize characters is impressive.
The story is very cool, happy that it doesn't exaggerate in dramas, being very busy. You don't see the rubbish that usually drives me away from the genre, instead there are new situations that are interesting to follow (a new place or a change in the character's life). I think the only point that may bother some is when the author focuses on single chapters focused on supporting characters or a newspaper (better chapter lol), although I liked it.
The art is spectacular. It's amazing how the author designs sets or clothes and hair in a very detailed and beautiful way. Frankly, there are panels that are breathtaking just to look at. Incredible!
Finally, I was happy that the ending was well done. Japanese people don't usually give good endings to their works, I'm glad that wasn't the case here.
