Konjiki Gash is a simple and fun shounen, doing what it sets out to be very well. But let's go in parts.

The characters are very good, in fact it really fun journey to follow the group that is forming around Gash. The development that each one has is very cool, where the author really shows how strength comes from weakness.

The protagonists are excellent, be it Gash or Kiyomaro, where both grow in strength and determination in pursuit of their goals. It's fun to follow them because of their charisma, plus it's always great to see allied characters pass the torch of their will to a ... good king when they lose.

The story is simple and executes very well. Not every story needs to be dense or complex, as long as it is well done and conveys emotion to the reader, that is enough. In this sense, the work is excellent with good characters who have constant growth through confronting their own fears and trying to overcome them, it is always exciting to see.

The art grows progressively, a detail for example is that the author takes the time to use a double page in the story, showing in a way the control of the narrative rhythm through his art. When passing through the arcs, the art has fantastic moments, but some scenes are confusing because there are many frames in which complex actions take place, which can cause some difficulty in understanding the scene.

Ultimately, Konjiki is really a simple battle royale story. But very well told with good characters, good fights and art that delivers breathtaking moments with an excellent ending. If there was anything to criticize, it's that the introduction is a little too long, which can tire the reader.

Eyeshield 21 is the perfect example of how the sports genre can be so good! But let's go by parts:

The story of Eyeshield 21 is based on the standard sports premise of a talented rookie breathing new life and strength into a weak team, but the story is so well told that the feeling of predictability and repetition is not there.
The combats are very well constructed, in a way that the main team's true moment of glory is completely natural. In addition, the author's ability to tie ends and highlight the characters throughout the work is impressive, it really gives the feeling that there was ... always control of the story that was being told.
A special mention for the final arc, the idea was very complex and yet it was well executed in a way that all the characters had their relevance well done.

The characters are great, being charismatic and well developed.
Initially, the author wanted to make them very cartoonish where their personalities were based on the symbol their school represented which made them uninteresting. However, little by little this changes where they embody symbolically in their ways of being that make things more fun instead of obvious... The pride of a dragon, the ferocity of a dinosaur, the quick pass like a shot, etc.
Another important thing is how the development of all the characters is constant, not just coming down to the main group but to the entire team. That way, the clashes become even more involved... Seeing the secondary character who starts out as irrelevant and getting to the point of creating himself as one of the biggest opponents is powerful.

The art is by Yusuke Murata, not much else needs to be said. Intense matches, strong expressions and everything that needs to be done at the highest level.

The protagonist, Sena, grows absurdly during the story in a way that he is one of the best things in the manga. Initially cowardly and fearful, until progressively being the spiral that engulfs the entire football dynamic.

Finally, Eyeshield 21 is a sports manga that brings the best it can offer. Characters, story, gameplay is of the highest order being skilfully carried through to the end.

Spice and Wolf is a romance manga with touches of drama with power dynamics and intrigue, but let's break it down.

The central characters are Lawrence accompanying Horo in search of his homeland, both protagonists are very charismatic and with a chemistry that makes the romance engaging. In that sense, see how their relationship blossoms along the journey and how one influence on the other is not only fun but rewarding.

The story is surprisingly cool, focused on being an adventure where to find the location of the land of Horo they need to investigate manuscripts and collect information. However, knowledge has power and especially value for ... merchants who hold the documents, so Lawrence often ends up being swallowed up by the commercial dispute that is taking place between those who have the material in possession.
In this sense, it's really cool to see how the conflicts are constructed, being more strategic than really physical, where the antagonists have a great presence and malice that makes the protagonists feel pressure in a suffocating way.... However, unfortunately the author doesn't close as much well the conflicts in the same way that it builds them so it is very common the plot has an ending that borders on the innocent and easy.

The characters in the manga are one of its greatest qualities, it's a power game so the enemy at the beginning can become an ally along the way and that's good because it conveys the human complexity that the merchant profession requires. This is even why simplistic endings weigh heavily at the end of arcs, because the author is very careful in passing characters off as something more human to end up as something shallow.

The art is pretty average, there are moments where it can take pages to be mesmerized and impressive. However, in general, it is more common to be weak in passing movement and expression.

Ultimately, Spice and Wolf is an enjoyable novel with engaging arcs and, unfortunately, a simple ending. Having an average art that rarely delivers anything of impact, at least it has its perfect ending for those looking for a good romance.

Area D was a frustrating experience.

The manga starts well, it introduces the concept of powers clearly and at the same time gives a nice dimension to each character that will be relevant to the story. It adds to a powerful art that delivers exciting moments and already captivates the reader.

The characters are very charismatic and the author manages to tell the story in a way that makes them seem more human and independent instead of just supporting the protagonist. They have a past that carries desire, guilt and makes them have independent actions that add up to the plot. Seriously, it's funny to see a ... character discover something on his own and then summarize his discovery for others, it makes it feel organic.

The story is also well structured in the way it is told. It's a very simple shounen action, but it also manages to be engaging since one event in the plot leads to another in a consequent way so that you can feel good planning.
In addition, the world still manages to be explored in a cool way for the story. By being limited to one island, the author is smart to give each area personality: a classier women-only zone, a delinquent-style zone, and an animalistic zone, etc. Each of these places being explored and giving a feeling of good use of the world itself.
And as much as the protagonist, Jin, is a simple character, he still manages to act well in the plot with action and ideas that make him have value in the story beyond the beating. He has philosophies, but they are constantly put to the test and that's a good thing!

Unfortunately , the manga still disappoints. Unfortunately, this is most likely the result of a cancellation due to the story suddenly speeding up so that all the events are barely developed and just happen... And this is very remarkable, as the author begins to insert new characters that end up not even being developed simply because there was no time.
At least, the ending closes all the ends. In a rushed and poorly developed way, but at least it doesn't leave open ends.

A different romance that mixes horror elements very well. Let's do it by steps:

The characters are charismatic, not being too developed being functional enough to keep the interest in the plot. That said, the story really doesn't layer its characters very much, but it gets it right by working them thematically around the central theme of the story, which is the weakness of the human heart.

The story is very good and the way it is told is very thought provoking. It is essentially a romance story, but the author uses elements of horror and suspense to create a mystery that really captivates the reader.
In addition, ... the work is made in the form of isolated arches that, at the same time, converge with the main plot in a way that it is noticeable that it is a well-planned and executed plot. That said, its problems are that the story has an ending with a solution that is even easy considering all the problem that had been worked on throughout the story having an ending that is good and at the same time leaves a taste of "I want more".

The protagonists, Yuuno and Niiya, are a good pair that have chemistry to add charm to the story. On the one hand, Niiya has little personality but an attitude that makes the romance and story move forward well while Yuuno carries all the charisma of the series! She undergoes a whole journey of acceptance of human weakness while giving the dynamic that makes the couple fun to follow, much of the story being good is precisely because she is someone charismatic who presents a good layer of fear, uncertainty and courage... In this regard, the only one in history that is like this.

Art is one of the manga's strongest points! Not only is it very beautiful, but it also gives the dramatic force that the story needs, part of the horror's charm is very much due to the visual composition that is done. Apart from the use of a strong black tone in the line that leaves everything with a dark and melancholy tone.

Finally, Tasogare is a romance manga with an engaging story and a certain charm due to the different way it is told. Having very good art, its only problems are having an easy fix being a bit off-putting and characters lacking in depth.

Air Gear is a sports manga with maneuvers that scales exaggeratedly for action, this ends up being a problem and a quality. But let's go by parts.

The characters are very charismatic and stylish, in this the author is quite right as he gives each one a moment to shine in a way that makes them stand out.
My favorite is Kazu who grows from a mere supporting character to one of the best in the work. Other than that, there are still female characters who really have personality... Unlike many manga who simply see them as an escort for men, here they have their own space ... looking for their own goals.

The protagonist, Ikki, is kind of bland. Of course, in terms of having cool scenes, he delivers smoothly... Only something is missing that makes him stand out outside of being the most skilled, because his personality is dull and he never manages to add to the participation in the story beyond the cool scenes. It lacks presence, a little charisma and a little substance in it.

The story is problematic, the beginning is quite disorganized simply dropping information without giving context or construction to the world so that nothing feels really connected. That said, it still has a certain quality to it since the author throughout the story uses some element thrown into the plot in a way that has relevance within the work that creates a feeling of having some planning on his part.
That said, the story still fails to have a very clear path and follow a very different path from the initial one. It starts with a story of street sports with maneuvers for an action where each maneuver creates a super power... Due to the author's art, which is at a high level, the fights are always exciting, but in terms of the story, it causes a great strangeness.

Art is very good, Oh Great! he is one of the best artist today and here he already delivered very elaborate pages of action or visual allegory that gave a great narrative impact.

Finally, Air gear is a manga with fantastic art, but with a poorly structured story and a disappointing ending. Not only good art can make a good manga.

Rainbow is a cruel, brutal and also hopeful manga. Let's do it by steps:

The characters that surround the protagonists are captivating, presenting layers or having presence as their enemies. It is very easy to fear a villain that appears or sympathize with the relationships that the protagonists build with other people.
This is very good, because the sense of danger is important for the story to be engaging and as well as appreciation between the characters.

There are 7 protagonists, each with their personal dilemmas and arcs. All excellent characters who go through a journey of pain to conquer their freedom and happiness.

The story is fantastic. As ... expounded by the author in his notes, it is based on a reflection of their own experience in that period... As such, it is brutal and merciless even as they struggled mightily to survive and achieve something in their lives. The world of this work is brutal, unfair and malicious and yet it allows itself to fight without bowing its head to all this negativity.

The art is fantastic. From the beginning, it has been impressive, but it still allows itself to evolve even more in order to create true visual spectacles that give even more strength to this narrative.

Finally, Rainbow is a fantastic manga about delinquents having to seek their happiness in a cruel and unfair world, with an art that pushes each moment in the story even further. If there was one criticism to make, it's that the manga ends because it's notable that it's a unique and different experience.

A startling start.
I believe that for a good mystery to be well told, the author needs to know how to "cook" the reader, and this manga knows perfectly well.
The beginning is impressive due to the author's ability to pace responses while adding layers of mystery.
Another important point, the art of this manga is very different and they compose very beautiful and impactful pictures.
Another merit is the ability to use cliffhangers in a way that encourages you to consume more of the story, while not getting tired due to the exhaustion of using it.
As I said, you need to know how to "cook" and that includes ... knowing how not to overdo it.
Finally, a really captivating suspense manga. I recommend giving it a try.

Ghost Hunt is a very good manga, it deceives by the charisma and lightness of the characters to hide the horror force of the story. But let's go by parts:

The characters are very charismatic and the dynamic between them is really fun. This family atmosphere gives the work such a lightness that it's easy to forget that it's a horror story, and that's good because it shows that the characters are engaging enough to keep you in their rhythm.

The protagonist, Mai, is complicated.... She has a very aggressive and responsive side, and that's good because she constantly imposes herself instead of just being an innocent ... girl. However, it also tires how dense she can be... Seriously, the plot would move much faster if she didn't stay in denial and take action when things happen to her! Seriously, all she had to do was tell someone in the group that a lot of things would be resolved easier.

The story is pretty cool, it is told by cases that the group solves while building something bigger. This is really cool, as several clues and details are released that prove to be important in the final stretch of the story, giving a feeling of something well planned.
By the way, the cases are also very engaging. The author explored different types of terror from psychological to something more visceral.

My only criticism is in relation to the author's writing that can be very tiring to read, full of assumptions and information that leaves the story very loaded instead of being more objective when mysteries. Despite being positive at times, it also allows you to scrutinize the case they are dealing with.

The art is beautiful, nothing exceptional but very functional.

Sket Dance is a very fun manga, but it can be tiring too. Let's do it by steps:

The episodic pace of the series makes it more complicated to analyze due to following a style of a case centered on an eccentric person at school, whether it be a teacher, student or even outsiders. In general, this makes the work work differently for everyone because humor is something individual, so there were moments when I laughed out loud with Roman breaking the fourth wall talking to the reader and others finding it boring chapters focused on one strange game of certain teacher.

That said, the work also ... has its more dramatic moments and handles them very well. In this regard, reading is very engaging because the author develops the theme in a way that surprises the path he takes and the conclusion tends to be equally satisfactory. In fact, it's the first time I've seen a manga work on closing cycles in life in such an organic way, with well-known and charismatic people leaving simply for being life and until the end it seems something so organic that it seems it was the right time to end .

My only criticism that is very subjective is certain moments when the joke was just uninteresting. However, the way of making humor in this manga is so different that it will relate differently to each one.

The art of the manga is average. The author uses many frames and few double pages , which means that there are few moments to really contemplate the art, but when it really has an impact.

Finally, Sket Dance is a very unique and episodic comedy manga that can be a lot of fun depending on one's mood, but it also works on certain themes in a very different way than usual in other works that captivates a lot. Having a natural and good finish.
