Somali and her Golem papa.
A family traveling journey through a non-human world to find humans.
It started off strong, and I really wanted to say I enjoyed this anime to the fullest, but that would be a bit of a lie. It took me a long time to pick it back up around ~ep5.

Golem is logical and completely devote of "emotions", spitting out facts and disbelieving any ideals/superstitions. Somali is a happy-go-lucky young child who is curious about the world. As they travel, they encounter different creatures, different cities, and different faunas. As her guardian, Golem wants to bring her to humans before he perishes, leaving her safe in this anti-human world.

Story: 7. a bit repetitive, but hey, what is a traveling story without pitstops and meeting other people? Very much stressed the hate between humans and non humans (both sides of story).
Art/Sound: 10. I really loved the OSTs and that art. It perfectly captured the environment!
Character: 6.
-Golem: expressionless, stoic, logical. but has emotions.
-Somali: I feel like she was just a prop to the golem. She is cute and she is a kid, that's about it. She has no goals, she has no "voice", or hopes. Heavily relies on golem for about everything- which makes sense that she is a kid, but as a former slave in a non-human world, you would think she would be able to fend for herself? There are many other kid characters that have a fleshed out role, and Somali was just a shell. Also, I found her "otou-san~" a little annoying by the last 2 episodes.
Enjoyment 6.5: It took me a long time to pick this anime back up. The climax of the show is usually the last 3 episodes of a 12 episode season.
Overall 6.5: Very straightforward anime. I assume in the manga, it might flesh out the characters more or show other arcs. It didn't invoke any large emotions in me, like with other single parent/child relationship animes. The ending was just alright.
