Overall a good season but the tension from S1 was missing. The pacing seemed weaker and rushed. It'd have been better if they made it into 24 episodes like S1. The entire Stagier arc only focused on Yukihira. I'd have loved to see other characters' progress too.( I've not read the manga so I don't know if it was shown in manga)
Loved Yukihira's character development. He's one of the best MCs I've ever seen. Love his attitude and mindset. Plus the seiyuu is awesome!

I stumbled upon S1 of Shokugeki no Souma out of curiosity and boredom. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The animation and the characters are really good. If it didn't include all the fanservice, it would have been a solid 9 anime for me (Although, calling it food porn, as many people do, is wrong in my opinion). Nonetheless, it's always fun to watch Yukihira cook.

Looking forward to S3. Hope it's as good as S2.
