I love FMA, all the way. I was hooked by the first episode and I fell in love with the series, the characters, the art, and the plot. It has so much pain and loss and love that it's just so touching and beautiful. I love the Elric brothers and their struggles, and how they never really give up. The comedy is amazing, as are the serious, intense moments, and I love how you're laughing one minute and so caught up in a serious scene the next. The only thing I wasn't that fond of was the ending; I prefer a more happy conclusion, but it was still very enjoyable. While I did enjoy Brotherhood a little bit more (the ending, the longer and more extensive plot) the original series is what really got me into anime, and it has a special place in my heart.
