Fruits Basket: The Final is in my opinion the best final season this show could have gotten.
Art and animation are as beautiful as ever and the sound design is just as great. It really makes you feel all kinds of things and boosts those emotions.
The characters are incredibly well portrayed to the point that you can emphasize with how each and everyone got to the point they are now including Akito who finally gets a major spotlight.
Seeing and finally being able to understand how Akito came to be in such a horrible state of mind was just amazing. A character that just about everyone hated turning from a monster into a human for the first time as we get to experience the past said monster had to go through. After all the build-up the wait absolutely paid off.
Story-wise as well. The story takes you on a ride through all the resolutions giving them all enough time to play out comfortably without losing the emotions attached. At the end everything is wrapped up neatly yet in a way that makes you dream about all the experiences the characters are gonna have without any of us watching them.
It's just a great wrap-up for a great anime and I enjoyed every bit of it.
