I know the series is not over yet, but the way it is going now I will have to give it somewhere between a 6 or a 7.
I had high expectations with the first 3-4 episodes of the anime and was excited with the initial premise, but as with many other anime these days , it has kind of fallen flat as the series has progressed.
The mystery of the main character to start off with was very intriguing but the more that becomes revealed, the less and less interested I become.
The main villain of the story so far is still shrouded in mystery but there is not much that drives me to care about it. The main character really has no desire or drive for anything and it makes becoming attached to "it" very difficult. Aside from that, the small amount of time spent with the side characters that are introduced and their lack of overall development really makes it hard to care for them or their absence from the story in anyway.
As for the art and animation, it too has really taken a dive over time. I'm not sure whether it was a budget issue or not, but there has been a definite quality drop from the first few episodes to the current episode and while it is not horrible in any way, it just makes it that less exciting to watch.
I do hope it gets better as the series goes on ,but with 8 episodes remaining, I'm a little worried about how the pacing will turn out.
All in all, I think this is a decent anime to save for a rainy day when you have run out of great ones to watch, but not anything truly special.
