So I'm giving my review on this masterpiece of a manga called The promised neverland.
PLOT
This manga has one for the most unique plots in all of shounen jump, the plot isn't generic and it's same thing that i like to see when it comes to shounen manga. Two of my favorite arcs in the manga are The escape arc at the beginning of the manga and the goldy pond arc. Truly best arcs in the manga. The only arcs that i didn't enjoy as match were the arcs after goldy pond e.g the fight against the queen ngl, i think she was defeated a bit easily as compared to the hell all the everyone had to go through when defeating Lewis and the other demons.
CHARACTERS
So when it comes to the characters we have Ray, Norman and my personal favorite Emma. One of the reasons I love that manga is coz of how the mc in the show is a female, that's something that not alot of manga like to do. Most authors don't like to give the spotlight to a female character and tbh is kinda upsetting to me. Then you ask someone whom is there favorite out of the Ray, Emma, Norman trio most will probably say Ray and Norman and only a few will will say Emma. For me as to why a love Emma character so much is cos she is always thinking what no other characters are thinking. I, too excel Then is comes to thinking outside the box or thinking what a lot of people aren't and gotta say emma beat me twice when it came to this. The first was when emma said "I don't want us to kill the demons", This at first through me off and i wondered as to why she would say something like that until she explains that demons are no different from human and they're just eating to survive. The second was when she said " I don't want to kill the ratri clan" This again through me off and i even though it's ridiculous and stupid as to why she doesn't want to just kill him when the opportunity presented itself. But she once again beat me and convinced as to why she said so, Yeah Emma truly is amazing and if I'm being honest she's in my top 10 favorite anime female characters and i wish more people would see her as i do(Hopefully this helps). Anyways every character in the manga are decent characters to sat the least, all of them came from different backgrounds hence different ways of thinking but are all fighting for the same goal which freedom from the demons.
THE ENDING
Ok if I'm being honest with myself the ending wasn't the best end. It felt as though the mangaka was trying to end is asap, all the ideas thought of weren't bad to say the least e.g Lewis return and making musica the queen, but they're execution was rushed and i felt like things were working out for them too well to fast. And Isabella death felt rushed as well and i think it was done only to add a sad scene towards the end and cos despite the large number of characters not alot of them die. If I'm being honest i heard that the ending of this manga was garbage but reading at myself i can say it's not so bad or it's not the worst I've seen. During the ending i was full of emotions while reading fearing the fact that Emma may never see or remember her family again after all she's been through with them, It truly was stabbing away at my heart. But ultimately they reunite and even though she can't remember them it fulled me up with emotions.
Conclusion
To conclude I'd say that i truly enjoyed this manga it truly was an enjoyable ride and ending may have been rushed, I still feel it happily deserves an 8 or 9 rating and would be a 10 if it had more chapters to make up for the rushed events towards the ending, more information and development on the human world and frankly just what happens after they reunite with emma and their future together.
