I'll be honest, this manga is not good. It would be average if not for a few aspects that drag its score down to a 4, for me. The lack of consequence that comes with the existence of a book that tells you absolutely everything about the world is extremely jarring; in addition, placing said book with your basic semi-intelligent MC leaves you with a bland story full of battles that make you think "eh, he'll be fine" before a magic spell has even been cast. 4/10
The story is your generic defeat the demon lord trope, with a hint of "my former party are jerks so now I'm on my own" thrown into the MC's introduction. Outside of those key points, the MC is trying to level up, but there's nothing really interesting happening around the MC (more on that later)
The art is pretty decent with the exception of some fight scenes being hard to follow, especially with some of the more grand spells like Fire III being used.
The characters, unfortunately, are the worst part of this series. Outside of the MC and the antagonist group, every character we meet is one-dimensional and plastic, to the point that I'm left thinking "Is this all an act? Are they pretending to be so conveniently nice so they can backstab the MC later?"
8 chapters in, there is no foreshadowing of such an event happening, so I'm going to assume these characters really are as bland as they seem. The MC is potentially the worst character, outside of his quirk of getting embarrassed at awkward situations and generally being a "good guy", he could probably be replaced by any run of the mill MC, and with how broken of a plot point the Deus Ex Machina Book of Destiny is (I forgot its name sorry lol) pretty much any side character could be the MC of this Manga.
Honestly, I'm only continuing this series to see if I'm going to be proven wrong in the coming chapters, but I'm not very hopeful about that.
