Literally one of the best animes I've ever seen a few months ago when I was deep in my depression I started watching this anime on Netflix because it looked like it was enjoyable and uplifting and that right there is how I started my love for anime and manga. Anyone who watches one piece will tell you that you mainly watch it for the story and not the animation not to say that the animation is bad especially with the detail with Wano but in the earlier episodes and the arc right before Wano the art was kind of sloppy and not that consistent which to be fair makes sense i mean this is a 20+ year old weekly anime with only a week to animate they can't perfect the animation but none the less this is my favorite anime of all time. One piece was the first anime/show that I watched that actually got me hyped/crying for the characters especially when Luffy tried all his hardest to try and save his brother but he couldn't that really had me feeling for him because it reminded me of the people ive lost in live that I thought would be with me forever. The story is one of the best ever in my personal opinion and it really drives the reader. The only problem I have with the series is the pacing (which is understanding again its a 20+ year old weekly anime) but still one day I feel like Oda should either remake or remaster this anime like he has already but with a faster pacing and finer art. The second problem that I have is the furries like the mink tribe nothing against furries its just that I'm not really into that/like that. Like for example when Pedro died I was actually sad because he was such a good and righteous person. but besides those few issues this is the most amazing story that I've had the privilege of watching and also don't go into this series trying to finish it go into it enjoying it along the way I've been watching it for 9 months and I'm still not done so again don't rush it. But yeah I recommend this to anyone that wants to get into anime and wants an amazing story with perfect worldbuilding/character development.
