Preliminary (88/175 eps)
Before watching "Fairy Tail", I've read and watched Rave Master, which was made by the same person, Hiro Mashima.

So, watching Fairy Tail is just like watching Rave Master, but this time, I am NOT disappointed with this one :)

STORY: 9/10. All the story arcs (from "Daybreak", up to "Edolas", which is on air right now) were portrayed really good and is faithful to the manga. There are some filler arcs (like the Dragonoid one) and episodes (episode 50!) though, but you wouldn't notice it since you're really enjoying every episode. The story arcs are not that long, but long enough for you to get the whole picture. For me, Jellal's story arc is the best one yet.

ART: 9/10. All the characters where drawn good, although you'll really see the similarities between Rave and FT. Natsu = Haru; Gray = Musica; Lucy = Ellie; Sieg Hart = Jellal/Siegfried/Mystogan (I know. @-)); and some more to come. See, even Plue's with Natsu and the gang in this one. Animation's done well too :)

SOUND: 10/10. The OPs and EDs are really good and catchy, even the OVA has its own OP and ED. All of the seiyuu who contributed to the OST (especially Kakihara Tetsuya!) were awesome. The BGMs (especially the Kan Kan and the Pomp and Circumstance) were also really appropriate with the scenes.

CHARACTER: 10/10. There is no main character here; everyone in Fairy Tail, even the "evil ones", have/had/will have their shining moments here. Still, my favorite will be Team Natsu, especially Gray. So yeah, I got this huge crush on the guy who strips a lot (LOL). All the guys and girls' personalities are portrayed perfectly (i.e, Gray's stripping habit, Natsu's motion sickness, Erza's sweet cravings, and many more...) as if you know them personally.

ENJOYMENT: 10/10. I've watched (and dropped some) shounen anime before, but Fairy Tail is one of those that I won't be bored of for at least hundred more episodes.

OVERALL: 10/10. All anime has their own flaws and strengths, and it's up to the watchers to stay with it or leave it. For me, I guess Hiro Mashima did another good job in making me addicted to his works... again. Though not the best anime in the world, I must say that since I'm looking forward for another episode per week, I'm hooked.

Oh yeah, Happy and Aisaka Taiga's (from Toradora!) seiyuu are the same. FYI though. :D

Enjoy watching!
