I've watched half and skimmed through the rest cause it's just appalling. Originally I was hoping for some comedy, little drama maybe, or for a decent slice of life at least. The truth is it turned out to be neither. Began somewhat fine, at first it was even making fun of cliches... until the moment I've realized that it doesn't make fun of it, it IS one big, giant, enormous cliche. It honestly feels like an average thing from 2007 or 2008. How was this even approved and released in 2020 I don't really get.
Art. It's cheap. Was probably done by grads. Even WEB cartoons nowadays sometimes use richer picture. Don't forget some implementations of 3D. Most use it, I get it. But here it's obvious and they haven't even tried to compensate this with details or rich colors. I mean, seriously?
Characters. Well screw the art, tastes differ, they say (I don't agree but it's not the point). Romantic (in fact ANY) story must have strong characters, they must have strong, defined emotions, ideas, there should be some development even in slices like this but all these are just not present here. Generic is the best word to describe them. Generic characters, dialogues, emotions. Every time they opened their cheaply drawn mouth I knew exactly what will come out of it. This ruins it completely.
I didn't notice anything good in sound design or story but this genre doesn't require this, though it would be pleasing to hear something nice.
Overall the only way to enjoy this as I see is to completely turned off brain. I sincerely don't get how this trash ended up being one of top of the season.
