Yes, the show is a revenge story from the side of things you'd not soon expect.
This show is pretty difficult in many ways since it doesn't fit the social norms. Some people will find immediate offence with the show's storyline but fail to grasps the old one. Suddenly it is not okay for this protagonist to seek revenge but not much is said about what was done to him previously. Arguably you could say he is in a new world so the rules have changed but it is the same world. It would all likely repeat.
The show has a slight Shield hero vibe with the kingdom that has monopolised the heroes and the cruelty that exists in this world generally. The main difference being one protagonist was able to redo things and the other had to deal with it with no chances of that.
I don't abide by the storyline itself but then would people have preferred the protagonist just kill all these people who have yet to commit the crimes they are in the process of doing or not yet?
The art style used is nice but not amazing. It is sort of cheap for 2021 which is a shame because it had some promise. Magic especially I thought would be carried out to a higher standard but that was not the case.
In regards to sound, we have magic that doesn't really have any oomph and a soundtrack of averageness. The OP and ED are pretty bland and standard. One thing it has is lots of sex noises.
The characters do develop pretty heavily through the show which is great to see actually. You can understand many sides of the situations but also build a view of this world. Not all of the girls in the harem have had their minds changed you must remember some are with him because they wish to be like Setsuna. The way he acts is also very in keeping with the premise of intercourse means higher level caps making him hard to judge constantly, especially since even in this world he was abused as a child still.
In terms of enjoying the show, it does one thing so well, being that episode 8 and 10 especially have Setsuna wagging her tail in the greatest way possible. Bravo to that animation team in that regard. Outside of the issues, people have with the show the problem for me is not even that I cannot believe it's not Hentai but that the show is pretty dull. Nothing really happens at the same time as many things happening. I just don't end this show thinking that so much happened. I actually had to rewatch some of it for this review to remember that this was the show that increasing level cap via intercourse was shown here.
In the end, it is a realistic 7/10, it is not the best but far from the worst. It could come back but I doubt it.
