What an enjoyable and cute fantasy. The animation of the sea, as well as the creatures, was marvelous and gorgeous. I definitely felt the beauty and power of the sea.
Ponyo was the best part of the movie. When she played with the ocean, the experience reminded me of the woah and the fun from My Neighbor Totoro. Then, her relationship with the young boy was very cute and enjoyable.
Hayao Miyazaki once again depicted another aspect of the relationship between human and nature. Before, it was human and the jungle, now it was with the sea. In particular, he showed the effect of pollution on the sea. Then, try though the beautiful animation, the director again reminded us of the power of nature and its potential of striking back.
Overall, another masterpiece from Miyazaki that kids and adults can all enjoy. 9/10
