This anime had THE GREATEST POTENTIAL of all to become something better than "yet another steaming pile of crap that's stuck in the otaku loop."

It had the useful, athletic, and otherwise awesome male protagonist (voice my a Mr. "Bust Out In A Fit Of Laughter, That's Right. I'm Kira"). It had the team behind the Nanoha series. It had COLORS all up in dey art and animation. And it had some "stealth panty shots."

But then... As if the "LeBron James Hate Plague" spread from Cleveland (or its basketball team) and managed to revitalize the otaku-base's hatred against those better than themselves... It pulls Dog Days right back down.

If it's not Eclair attacking Shinku through the main chunk of the series, then it's during the previews for the next episode where he's suffering whatever the company behind this title throws at him.

It's a good show overall. But even grown-ups expect their kid(s) to grow up and leave behind their obnoxious behavior. And the people who grow up watching anime expect that from the anime industry which, for too long, caters to "grown-ups who haven't grown up at all."

I was also expecting a little more "venom and blood" between the races of cats and dogs since, you know; it's a "battle" between cats and dogs. But it's from the "Nanoha Team." So I'll give 'em points up for that.
