the bond they shared was so pure and genuine and everything was just so true, gin who had never spent time with another human falls for hotaru, at first it was just a pure friendship that grew into love.

I broke down at the end, the way the message was to move on, it was such a powerful message I feel like. Gin loved her so much he was ready to die just to touch her once, and also to let her live. I wish he realised that she wouldn't want it any other way except with him :(
As someone who lives for happy endings and romances i can tell my heart broke in pieces, still one of the purest love stories i ever seen, and a damn good movie.
