Oneshota is a very straightforward hentai, jumping straight into it just from the title alone. As a high IQ multilingual individual, the title “Oneshota” roughly translates to “one shota” which is exactly what the hentai is about. Furthermore, with a PhD in Japanese literature the subtle wordplay of “one shot” also tells us that this is a one-episode hentai. The hentai itself wastes no time giving you what you came for while still displaying enough self-restraint to build up to the action which at the end of the day will always provide the best viewing experience.

Story : 4

The most disappointing aspect of this hentai really is the story, feeling shallow and generally not well thought out which let me down in several ways. First and foremost, it just isn’t entertaining because it is the same bland formula that every run of the mill hentai follows and what is the point of beating it to a hentai if it doesn’t grab your attention the whole way. Secondly, the potential I saw throughout this hentai was never taken advantage of and felt completely wasted. Given the scenario of two fantasy characters popping into modern day Japan living in a house with their shota companion, it felt as though there would’ve been many opportunities for fresh, interesting and new hentai scenarios with our MC-kun teaching these girls how modern technology works. Throwing in a couple misunderstandings and the girls meeting other people from Japan would have surely been much more entertaining than guy fucks girls because he can.

Art and Animation : 8

The art and animation were quite well done, with vibrant backdrops and extremely lovable character designs Oneshota was a treat to the eyes. While MC-kun will always have the most generic character design, I adored both the female characters in their different outfits and unlike a lot of hentai the proportions were not outrageously large which in hentai means they were being modest. Most importantly however was the fact that the tone was exactly what you expect from a shota hentai, the art has a softer touch to it and overall you just feel safe watching it, nothing can possibly go wrong and every party is consenting. The fact that the art and animation of Oneshota can deliver this mood gives it a major win in my books.

Characters : 7

The characters of Oneshota were not particularly interesting between the three of them however both girls had their moments to shine and the cute factor of each girl was well highlighted in their solo scenes as well as the final one. Both had their own distinct characteristics which made them stand apart from each other yet they played off each other in a great way so while this hentai doesn’t have the greatest characters they were very pleasant for the one episode hentai.

Voice Acting : 9

What really made this hentai stand out for me are the wonderful performances by the voice actresses. Although externally it is quite easy for a character to be cute, what separates one of the harem from best girls is the voice acting which can really bring the character to life and draw out the inert potential within them. Both actresses absolutely exuded the ARA ARA energy however they were still distinct from each other with Aria being somewhat more assertive and guiding MC-kun along and Lulu being much more frustrated like a puppy seeking attention. Truly Oneshota has one of the most impressive hentai voice acting performances I’ve ever experienced and that alone could be a reason to watch it.

Enjoyment : 7.5

On the surface Oneshota is quite a bland experience with an overplayed trope however in execution it made up for its lackluster concept. While I refuse to excuse the plot wasting the potential of the setup, it delivered exactly what a shota hentai should deliver. It felt very safe and secure, like a “Cute Girls Doing Cute Things” anime’s setting where nothing could go wrong and everything was right in the world. The voice acting and character design were superb and elevated a flat piece of work by bringing the characters to life before our eyes. While Oneshota isn’t the greatest hentai, it is a very safe watch that will comfort you in times of trouble and while technically it is a child and a woman, this does not hold a candle to Shoujo Ramune in terms of making me uncomfortable about an adult and a child having sexual relations so anyone can enjoy it
