The story revolves around the main characters Hinata Takeru, Isono Shizuka, Nakahara Tomoe, Unno Yambuki, and Aoi Kurta with the timeline being several months after a probe they have to fight creatures called "Ancients" that cannot be killed with regular weapons.
The only decent part about this OVA is the art style, whilst some people don't like this early 2000's art style I quite enjoy it! And in my opinion it was drawn decently, so I give the art style and animation a 6/10!
The plot wasn't the best though with many plot holes and weird added on plot features it wasn't as enjoyable as other 2000 shows, so I will give the plot and storyline a 2/10.
Now for the sound or voice acting. So in my opinion the voice actors in Hametsu no Mars weren't terrible but weren't good if you get what I'm saying. For example at the timestamp of 3:06 Aoi's voice was just how to do I put this in a nice way terrible, I couldn't unhear this but Chihara Minori Aoi's voice actor was amazing in other shows like her role as Camie Utsushima in Boko No Hero Academia. So in all the sound and voice acting is a 3.5/10.
Overall in my opinion this OVA was a 2.5/10.
