To be honest I expected more from the 2nd season. When I heard about the Endless Eight I was really disappointed. The Endless Eight arc is kinda boring but well, I watched all episodes. There are also a lot people who only watch the 1st, 2nd and last episode of this arc, something I recommend doing since you won't miss anything.
So, after Endless Eight there are 6 episodes left, 1 "stand alone" and another arc: The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya. The Sigh okay, the story is decent. The only thing that was really bothering me was Haruhi's behavior during this arc.

When I finished the 1st season I couldn't really understand why everybody disliked Haruhi so much. True, she's a bit too energetic but I thought it was kind of enjoyable in it's own way. But then I watched "The Sigh"and I began to understand it. Haruhi became more and more selfish with episode and really went overboard at some point. Since the Sigh is mainly about the making of the movie "The adventures of Mikuru Asahina" the story isn't that good (I didn't really liked that movie). However, there are some interesting parts in it which make it more ejoyable. Especially the last episode has some nice moments in it so it's not that bad.

I thought the art was okay, the background music was good and the characters were also nice. They didn't changed a lot compared to the first season so they gave the same vibe/feeling as in the first season.

Despite my complaints I rate the 2nd season with a 7. The Endless Eight idea was original and they took a risk to animate it, something they should get some credit for. I also liked Kyon more in this season, he stood a bit more up for himself, something I've been waiting for. I can't say I really recommend the second season, especially not if you didn't liked the first season that much but it's worth giving it a try if you're a fan :)
