[Spoiler Review!]

This manga is an extensive retelling of the first half of the prior manga "Deep Love: Host," one of the worst installments in this series of manga. There is currently another review present critiquing this anime solely on the art style, but I believe there is more wrong here than just the art (per usual with this series).

(Keep in mind that this manga's scanlation was stopped at chapter 22, so I will mostly be basing this review off that point.)

Story: 3/10

The story here is just a more in-depth look at the first half of the prior manga. It shows Yoshiyuki's rise to becoming the manager of one of the best host clubs in the area. This manga focuses more on Yoshiyuki's development as a character rather than the input of a bunch of tragic events. This manga definitely has the best story out of all the installments in the series so far, but not by much since it is still quite shallow.

Art: 4/10

The art style is lazy, but I prefer it over the standard shoujo art style. However, my preference does not take away from the fact that the art style is a downgrade in quality from prior installments (excluding something of the same caliber such as the Pao manga).

The characters also look quite different from what they looked like in the original manga.

Character: 3/10

Yoshiyuki's character is just being a good host with a troubled past. That is his only character trait in this manga. The other characters have more rememberable faces, but still lack enough substance for you to remember their names.

Enjoyment: 3/10

I found myself actually enjoying this manga more than the other manga in the series. It was a breath of fresh air as compared to the other manga in the series. I found myself impressed with Yoshiyuki's ability to handle his own.

Overall: 3/10

In conclusion, just like everything else in the series, this manga isn't good. However, it is better than the source material. It would have been even worse if the scanlators actually suffered enough to churn out more than 22 chapters of this horrible conclusion to the series.
