What made me decide to watch this movie was a review somewhere that said that they couldn't tell what was real and what wasn't whilst watching. It felt like a spoiler going into the movie; the fact that I would be paying attention to distinguishing reality versus hallucination would likely give me an edge over viewers that weren't focusing on that. However, I was wrong. This movie messed with my head in so many ways. No matter how hard I tried, I could not tell what was real or not. I began to think that it was either all entirely real or all entirely a hallucination. Needless to say, the main character's mental deterioration, multiplied by the external pressures of her misguided career choices, made for a mind-boggling psychological thriller with a masterfully flawed female main character that is rare to find this well-executed.
