I will say yes Kasumi and Kyousuke are childhood friends, which many yaoi mangas tend to have but this one gives the approach of realism. Not something cliche that has the off chance of happening or utterly ridiculous. They struggle through their own hardships of understanding one another, and what society would think of them together which is a hardship in life when dating the same gender.
I do have to say this story is quite short but definitely worth the read. It has a realistic approach, and it doesn't overwhelm you with yaoi scenes. But don't underestimate the feels! Brought a tear to me and could to you. Not much to else to say besides, read it!
