The anime is your typical shounen that's fun and entertaining with a strong opening and an all in all good story. However, as cute and strong as Meliodas is his constant groping and sexualization of Elizabeth is disturbing and nauseating. The other jokes in the anime so far have been either funny or generally acceptable but the humor regarding his relationship with her really reinforces very perverted ideas about how guys can treat girls and that it should be okay as long as the guy is the protagonist or if he has other good qualities. It's not. What he does is not okay. The fact that she always accepts DOES NOT MEAN she's okay with, she's just written to be an agreeable and rather weak-willed character. I'm really hoping this aspect of the anime changes or is obliterated in later episodes. I'm up to episode 14 and am enjoying the anime as a whole.
