This essentially recaps the second half of the first season of Haikyuu!!. Except, there are two scenes which stand out and are different - there is a scene after Date Tech's loss where the third years start crying as this was their final match, as well as a scene from Kageyama's past with Oikawa, where Kageyama asks Oikawa to teach him and gets angrily rejected. Other than that, it is essentially the same.
The art style is lovable and memorable, just... don't pause it.
This movie, as you would expect, uses the same sound effects and music as the series, but they helped make the franchise even more enjoyable so that is not a bad thing.
