The characters, aside from their personal quirks, I don't really get much of personalities or care very much for them.
Not really much of a world-building aside from a few things about the lore. The towns that they went into didn't have personalities either and the design for the buildings is pretty much the same, so nothing feels new and exciting in their journey.
The animation is not on par with other seasonal action-adventure animes I had watched. Maybe it's my fault for having high expectations for such a hyped series, but in the end, I didn't like the animation that much.
Also, I might be the only one who didn't like Ban and Elaine as a couple. But they looked like a twenty years old dating a toddler. It's just very disturbing. I get that loli is a big thing in Japan, and usually, I don't mind it. But in this anime, Ban physically looked so much older than her and I just can't handle it.
The voice acting (the Japanese one) is the only positive thing in my experience. I think the voices fit the characters really well.
