I read Go Toubun no Hanayome and that was amazing. It is different from other comics in three ways.
1) Main character
The main character Futaro is very cool. In most romantic Japanese comedies, the main character tends to be foolish and bad at guessing others' feelings, especially romantic feelings. That is a little bit weird. However, Futaro has a good ability to guess others' feelings. That is nice. Also, Furtado is very smart. That is also a big difference with other romantic comedies. He has pride and confidence. The other typical characters don't have that. He is very cool.
2) Break typical scenarios
In most of the Japanese romantic comedies, there are typical stories. One of them is that when the heroine confesses her feeling or something to the protagonist, because of some accidents, he doesn't hear her. Similar things happen in Gotubun, but this was different. I don't want to give away a spoiler, so I can't explain more than that, but it was amazing. This comic is different from ordinary ones.
3) Focus on personality
The interesting thing is that the heroines are quintuplets. That means all of them have almost the same faces. We can't identify them from appearance. For this reason, the comic book focuses more on the characters' personalities. Futaro has to decide on one person, of course, but this is not because of appearance but because of personality.
