I haven't watched an anime movie that was good enough to capture my heart like Summer Wars in a long time. I've seen memorable ones such as Castle in the Sky, My Neighbor Totoro, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, and I have to say Summer Wars is definitely up there with them.

Story: 8/10. Judging by the story alone, it is basically your typical anime plot. You have a bad guy and you have a good guy who battle it out to save the world. Throw in a bit of romance and comedy and you have the story.

Art: 10/10. Simple, yet beautifully crafted and effective at delivering the picture. It's modern animation, what do you expect?

Sound: 9/10. (Japanese dubbed) The voice overs were terrific, I've had no problems with them whatsoever. The sound effects and music were nice and really amplified the mood they wanted to present to the audience during a particular scene.

Character: 8/10. Character development was sketchy, although the movie focuses on Natsuki's family, we know a limited amount about other characters and their backgrounds. However, seeing that this movie is only 2 hours long, it was still enough to create a character that was understandable.

Enjoyment: 10/10. You will enjoy it. No more no less.

Overall: 10/10. This movie has become one of my favorite movies of all time. The story, characters, and presentation are done really well to bring an innovative, dramatic, romantic, comedic-filled movie.
