The premise was solid for a bit but as it got later, it's now because more of a hindrance. The characters Mizuharu and Kazuya have locked themselves into a problem that is dragging down all character development and arcs that cross it.
The artwork remains top notch and if ever disappointed by any of the other elements, I find myself easily capable of enjoying the awesome artwork by .
Leading man Kazuya felt like he was going someone where solid but ever since he's fallen for Mizuharu and Ruka came around to be...I don't even know. Comic relief? He hasn't felt the same. He's developed but now worse it feels at time. When he was crushing on Mami, he seemed to have a bit of a spine to draw out. I liked the idea that confidence and maybe self reliance was going to be his new aim but he really hasn't stopped to capture it. Rather he seems to absorb in his new crush which is especially disappointing because it isn't looking like that'll have wheel for a while. Unfortunately this is one of those drag-out romances.
Mizuharu is fine if not we're taking our sweet time opening her up which is just the pacing and Kazuya being trash.
Ruka is one of my favorite characters but the story doesn't want to take her seriously and will probably dump her back on Yuri in 100 chapters or so. Really disheartening stuff.
Kazuya's homies are aight. Mami is awesome lol and the Grandma is awful. I can't stand her and the energy she puts into the show at all. Especially during the New Years Family Trip arc.
Despite all I have to say, I'm going to finish the anime and if I get word that Grandma Kinoshita learns the truth before Ch. 100, I might pick the manga up again next again next month. Because if it's one thing that I dislike the most about this so far is that I'm Ch. 41 and we're still keep the same lie from Ch. 1. That's almost a 3rd of this series right now.
