Mixed Feelings
This anime is a mess. A huge mess.

So we start with our main character, Makoto Itou, taking a picture of Kotonoha Katsura on the train. She's unaware and he's got a new background on his phone to look at. Not too weird compared to everything else in this anime. At school later that day Sekai Saionji notices it and asks if he's doing the cell phone charm. I have never heard of this and it's honestly just weird in general. I've obviously seen people take pictures of others when they're not looking but for it to be something that could possibly be common activity is weird to me but again they're high schoolers.

As the anime progresses it just goes further and further down the drain. Once you reach somewhere between episodes 3-5 it's not as wholesome as it might seem in the beginning. Makoto is influenced by Sekai which encourages him to make many, many very bad decisions. Katsura starts having a hard time understanding how important she really is to Makoto and she almost seems like a robot at some points. She's constantly so deep in her own head she can't decipher the difference between the scenarios playing in her head and things actually happening in real life.

This anime has so many twists and turns and just cringeworthy surprises. You'll be angry for most of this anime so make sure you do some breathing exercises before and after every episode. You'll probably need to.
