The end is a joke and it breaks everything else.. I do not want to spoil but it's a waste. That's sad because the author has a very good talent, we can see that with the idea of the MC who wants to become a writer, obviously his "career" of writer will be affected troughout the story with good things and bad things like drama scenes.
Domestic girlfriend for me is a very hard manga to note because of everything that happens in those 276 chapters.
In some time i felt that the drama were a little bit to forced and i have questioned the choices that some characters did. Some drama were totally cliche " OH a truck who does not respect the speed limit in the MIDDLE of the city, OH he crushes a character..." it's not even an isolated point... The drama parts were the best at the start of the story because it was not forced by a very unlucky hazard. I didnt aswell like the "semi harem". MC met a bunch of girls, he helps them once, they fall in love with him... Please No it is a serious manga not a bad harem for 12 years old kids... Those girls (apart momo) didnt have anything to bring for the story, it was just to strech the story and Oh god the more you read this manga, the more you will believe that the author is stretching the story only to sell more issues.. After the chapter 200, i just wanted the story to end because the author was just creating some new useless plots instead of being straight forward with the main things : rui and hina. Regarding rui and hina, both were absolutely annihilated by the end. The author just DESTROYED them in 6 chapters, all their developments, their fights to win MC, everything because of a cliche drama scene.. At this point the pace was terrible (6 chapters = more than 5 years.. Ok) you could clearly see that the author was just absolutely fed up with the manga after streching it to death. The end was so shameful that Domestic girlfriend lost a bunch of rating in my anime list, everyone was complaining..
Overall a 3 because of the bad ending which destroys all the character developments, because of all the cliche drama which was more and more present by progressing throughout the story and the useless characters and arcs made to stretch the manga.
The art was very modern and beautiful, pleasant to read and to see so 8
The characters were a mix up between bad and good characters but even the good characters have been ruined by the end so... 2
The overall note is more harsh than the other notes because for a long and recent manga like domestic girlfriend, all those bad things that i have enumerated before are just a shame. I really felt like the author was kidding me throughout the story by approaching to the end. The cherry on the cake was the last 6 chapters.
