Unfortunately, that doesn't save the show from the mediocre mess it ended up becoming. The premise is pretty good but the execution was very dull and the charcacters forgettable. A lot of content felt recycled from soul eater and I don't want to be "that" person but I did have an issue with the fact that the female characters were around solely for fanservice. The rivalry between the two main characters was boring and at one point, i didn't even understand what the characters' objectives were anymore.
Still, A++ animation and just art in general, if you're looking for a show with dynamic fight skills (especially if you're looking for something to use as reference), I extremely recommend it. If you want a show with amazing soundtrack and great OPs and EDs, I extremely recommend it. If you're tired of watching the same shounen show with a different name well.... lmao
