Do you like META things?
Do you enjoy initial D?
wait I'm joking, only half of this show is toooootally about car racing for a parking spot.

On a more serious note:

I love this show's setting of adults working in the anime production industry,
it gives you some simplified insight into real anime production.
It may not be perfectly accurate, but displaying the troubles and issues of real anime production is very interesting to most anime fans that enjoy learning stuff about the industry I'd assume.

If only animators in real life were paid better or enough by the mega corp production committees ressource allocation directors.

The characters are very enjoyable for the most part, with one character constantly messing up and being slightly annoying being the only exception.
I just wished they showed the main group of friends more, but it actually mirrors the realities of adult life, not seeing your friends nearly as much or barely at all. That really hit me and was relatable af.

The story is engaging for the majority of the runtime, but things that cause trouble and stress for the protagonist, feel like they are stressful to the audience to.

The animation is hilarious at times with exageration and over the top representation of certain events e.g. in the 2nd arc's climax IIRC..

The soundtrack, I don't remember as well, but from what I can recall it never attracted my attention negatively.
The moment I do remember being made better by music is when a certain character comes in to work unexpectedly on a project managed by our main character, that really hit the emotional beats and I cried, with the parallel of dialogue within the anime being produced and the anime you are watching becoming apparent.

To sum it up, don don donuts, go watch shirobako If you haven't and maybe especially if you're a young adult or have been working for a while.
"then this shit hit different"

9/10.
