The art style is recognizable enough, but it doesn't particularly stand out. I happened to read the manga before watching this, and honestly I don't think they did the story justice. While not many things were changed, quite a lot was left out and the order of events was completely thrown out the window. I can understand why they changed it, as they were trying to fit 5 volumes into 12 episodes, but the main issue I have is the amount of time it takes for the characters to actually do something significant. I don't want to give any spoilers, but it makes it seems more like a slice of life than the actual apocalypse scenario it's supposed to take place in.
