Mixed Feelings
Wait, what happened?!

I seem to remember quite enjoying this show, but it feels like I'm watching something totally different!

Okay, the good first; we get some backstory on Gowther, Merlin, Escanor, even Meliodas & Elizabeth. These things are very welcome, and really cool. They fit in nicely, make sense, and explain a lot of questions. It felt quite satisfying.

Also, Elizabeth becomes more of a character. Not by much, but it's something. :D

The dumb stuff!
- They try to get backstory for some of the commandments, but I don't buy it. I don't get why they're suddenly good guys, and why they suddenly suck at fighting.
- Powerlevels are crazy. Really hard to predict who fights who because everyone randomly beats everyone.
- There is no good choreography, only lazer beams.
- There is never a fair fight; one side always curve stomps the other.
- There are almost never consequences; people hardly get injured, and either way, they almost always get up like nothing happened. Too many fake-outs, no stakes!
- The few characters who do die (but let's be honest, they probably don't), I felt nothing for.
- The fruit is up with the random monster cat and other things? Nods to the manga..?
- The soundtrack was stale and the animation really, really dipped! Like holy moly. Fights that should've been epic were just really lame and boring. And a lot of still shots and wonky movement.

Nail in the coffin, the final episode just kind-of.. Ended. The boyfriend and me were ready to put on the next one, and were surprised to find there were none! It felt like just your average, mediocre, mid-season episode.

Here's hoping season 4 can close it off better!
