To be honest, I've been looking for an anime / manga that breaks the ordinary for a while. In Akame Ga Kill, the protagonist is a boy who joins a gang of assassins with a goal that we frame within the "Good". In addition, among his mates a beautiful girl stands out, Akame, whose name titles the manga. This approach is within the standard and does not provide anything new (and it does not have to be bad), the interesting point is the uncertainty that it creates in the reader in each combat. You don't know what's going to happen.

The plot is interesting: it has a well-defined idea (to end the empire) from which different ramifications emerge that enrich the title. It has quite gore parts that can shock some readers.

Its characters are charismatic. I am usually quite critical when someone acts illogically. However, I don't remember this manga sinning in this regard. Each has its own personality and there is no "stupid" supporting character. The decisions they make are rational or the result of their feelings, that is, they are coherent within the framework established by the author.

Finally, it is worth noting that it is very well drawn.
