BNA (Anime) add (All reviews)
May 5, 2020
Preliminary (6/12 eps)
I've seen the first 6 episodes since the rest of them are on hold due to the virus as of now.

BEFORE you read this, just know I am NOT a furry and do not associate with that community.

Story:
This is a TRIGGER work, what do you expect?
The story so far is super compelling. I can see myself rewatching this for the story because of how different it is. I'm so refreshed seeing an anime that's not about a character becoming overpowered by doing nothing. Yes Michiru does have some really good powers from her circumstance, but she hasn't fully controlled it yet, which makes the story so complex.
Not only is it about a girl trying to fix her problems, she's also solving other's problems, and helping others.
There's fun scenes that seem like they're just a side story, but everything is connected, and that's what makes it so appealing.
Beastmen is also a topic that most studios don't tend to touch, so it's relatively different from other shows.

Art:
Again it's TRIGGER. The animation is so fluid and the characters are so vibrant. My eyes never get tired and it's so fun seeing such a cool color scheme being put to use.
It really reminds me of Promare.

Sound:
While the OST is not very memorable, the opening and ending are such bangers. Night running is used quite a lot, and it is a bit tired even at this point, but Ready To is my JAM. I once listened to it on repeat for 2 hours.

Character:
SUper cool.
Michiru is very much a bubbly personality, and she closely reminds me of my best friend. Her ability to think she can meddle in everyone's business isn't something new, but when it doesn't go her way, it shocks the audience since we also didn't expect it.
Shirou is also a fun character. But not fun fun, you know? His normally stoic and calm stature is compromised with Michiru, and dare I say I think their friendship is an element that adds a lot of enjoyment to the story.

BNA has such an upbeat association to it, but don't let that fool you. It easily takes a dark turn, and that adds suspense and tension. It's so well worked and it's easy to tell that it's a passion project.

Thank you TRIGGER.
